Somewhere this week, a growing company will post the same job ad it posted last year: back-office help wanted. Invoices, orders, delivery notes, contracts. Start as soon as possible.
We wrote an application for it. Not for a person – for DocReveal. And we put the most important line first.
The CV
Here is how it reads, line by line:
- Human: no. DocReveal is software – an AI platform for companies that run on documents – and it says so before anything else.
- Applying for: the document work in purchasing, accounts, shipping and the warehouse, sales and HR.
- Experience: orders, delivery notes, incoming invoices, credit notes, statements, bills of lading, contracts and CVs. Scans and handwriting too, without templates.
- What it does: reads every document, checks it against your rules, sends the data to your ERP and other systems, and answers questions with the source.
- Final say: yours. AI agents take over the routine; people approve the exceptions.
- Languages: reads documents in any language; the interface speaks 24.
- Start date: whenever you are ready. There is nothing to install or maintain.
- Salary expectations: a public price list, with every user included.
- References: every answer and every amount points to the exact place in the document it came from.
Why the first line says “not human”
Some AI tools are built to pass as a person. For software that reads your contracts, invoices and payroll documents, that would be the wrong first impression. When a system handles your documents, trust is the job.
So DocReveal is upfront about what it is, and it is built to be checked rather than believed. Every answer shows its source. AI agents work within the limits you set and ask before sensitive steps. Every processing step is on the audit trail. Your data is stored in the region you choose and is never used to train models.
This is not a story about replacing your team. It is about what your team spends its time on.
Where the surprise should be
A back office grows with the business. Every new customer, supplier and shipment brings more paperwork, and the month-end peak arrives whether the team is ready or not. The usual answer is another hire – and weeks of recruiting and onboarding before the work gets any lighter.
With DocReveal, the surprise is not who does the work. It is how quickly it gets done, and what it costs. Documents are read, checked and sent on to your systems as they arrive, and capacity grows with your volume rather than your headcount. People approve the exceptions instead of retyping documents.
The prices are public, too. The core platform starts at €1,931 a month, and every user is included. For comparison, one more back-office hire costs about €2,200 a month with employer costs in Czechia, and more in Western Europe.
A month at Keldmoor
The video at the top of this page follows the applicant through an ordinary month at Keldmoor, an industrial supplier:
- It reads and checks. In Reveal Manager, six invoices in three languages go through the same line: read, mapped and checked. One of them, INV-88180, doesn’t add up – its line items total $8,240.00, but the invoice asks for $8,420.00. It is flagged instead of paid.
- It answers with the source. In RAG Manager, someone asks whether the carrier that shipped goods from Mexico had valid insurance on the day it picked them up. The answer is no – the cover ended the day before – and it comes with the scanned certificate, the expiry date highlighted.
- It asks before it acts. In Agent Manager, an agent handling the disputed invoice doesn’t guess. It asks a person, waits for the answer, and every step of its run stays on record.
Keldmoor, its suppliers and its documents are fictional demo data.
Before you post that job ad
- Read your own ad. Mark the tasks that mean retyping, matching and filing documents, and the ones that need judgment, negotiation or a conversation with a customer. The first list is the applicant’s job. The second belongs to your people.
- Count documents, not hours. How many orders, invoices and delivery notes arrive in a month, and how big is the month-end peak?
- Decide where the final say sits. Choose which steps may run on their own and which wait for a person to approve them.
- Interview the applicant on your own documents. The demo is free – on our sample data, or on 10 to 20 of your documents after an NDA.
Your next hire should grow the business. Not the back office.
