File Manager

This is File Manager – the home of every document in DocReveal. The header shows where things stand: how many documents you have, what types they are, what needs your attention, what is still processing, and how much storage you use. Every tile is a shortcut. Click Need attention, and the Explorer shows exactly those documents. Up top are three tabs: Upload, Explorer and Files opened. Let's take them one by one.

Upload

Start in the Upload tab. Drag files – or a whole folder – onto the drop area. They wait in a queue, and each one is checked before anything is sent. This photo's file type isn't in our tariff, so its row says why. On the right, pick the target folder and labels for the whole batch. Then press Upload. Processing starts by itself – the strip in each row lights up as the steps finish. The cards on the right show which steps will run, and how much room your tariff has left. About two minutes later, our invoice is done, and DocReveal already flags it: needs attention. Show in Explorer takes you straight to it.

Explorer

The Explorer lists your documents – each row with a one-line summary of the content, the type, the processing steps and the labels. On the left, narrow the list by folder, type, processing status or label – the number next to each filter tells you how many documents it leaves. Or search by name, document number or issuer. Prefer pictures? Cards show a preview of each first page – and the classic folder tree is one click away.

Inspector

Click a row, and the inspector opens on the right. The Overview starts with what needs you: business rules did not pass. Below is a summary taken from the content – issuer, document number, date and amount. The Processing tab lists every step with its status and time – and Run again, where a step can be repeated. And the File tab shows its folder, size and format.

Actions

Every document has a menu – grouped into Open, Processing and File. Select several rows, and bulk actions appear: Reveal Group, labels, move, download and delete. Move them to another folder – or drag them onto a folder in the list. Labels work the same way: pick one, add a note if you like, and it's on all three.

Files opened

Double-click a document, and it opens in Files opened. The bar at the top switches between the files you have open. The original is on the left. Zoom in on any detail – longer documents get page thumbnails too. On the right, Data shows the fields DocReveal pulled out of the document, each with a three-level confidence. Missing required fields stand out – this invoice has no vendor tax ID. Need more room? Hide the panel, and the document takes the full width.

Layers and elements

Turn on Layers, and the page shows everything processing recognized – text, tables and pictures, each in its own color. The Elements tab lists them. Click a frame to select its row, or the other way round. Search narrows both – here, every place the total of 8,420 appears. And when an answer in RAG Manager cites a document, the citation opens it right here – at the cited place.

Processing

The Processing view shows the whole journey of a document: eleven of eleven steps done, grouped into Extraction, Data, Knowledge and Output. The counts on top double as filters – here, the one step that's switched off. Each step shows its status, how long it took and how many times it ran. Business rules ran – and one rule failed. Open its Info window to see why: the line items add up to $8,240, but the invoice total says $8,420. Run again repeats a step whenever you need it – and it always asks first. And Flow draws the same steps as a diagram, with recent activity and processing usage right below.

Graph

The Graph view turns the document into entities and relations – organizations, amounts, dates and places. Switch between Canvas, Network and Relations, and filter the types with the chips. Click an entity to see how it connects: Stavlund issued this invoice, supplies Keldmoor, and is located in Milwaukee. Show in document finds it on the page.

File

The File tab shows what processing has stored for a document – parse outputs, mapping data, analytics, rule results and search vectors. The outputs themselves are listed in the Explorer, under File source. Before you delete a file, the same overview shows exactly what goes with it. Deleting can't be undone. And roles decide who can change what. A viewer can browse, open and download – the Explorer says Read-only, and the Upload tab stays locked. That's File Manager – every document in one place, read, checked and ready when you are.
